Class President
I was senior class president of the class of 1973. One of the perks of the job was to decide who would speak at Commencement.
Seeking to represent my constituents to the best of my ability, I polled fellow classmates of every major for candidates. A ballot was sent out to each senior. The results were tallied and a winner was picked. Along the way I got many interesting comments, including one that "the individual passed away a few years ago, but if you can bring him back to life, we'd love to hear what he has to say."
Ultimately, I presented B.F. Skinner with an honorary degree as part of the Commencement ceremony.
