ITAL 201 Intermediate Italian I (L) 4 credits

GER: meets L. GDR: meets L. Italian
through a communicative approach. Language
is learned in a thematic context based on
real life situations. Aspects of life in
contemporary Italian society are also
presented. Listening, comprehension as
well as basic writing and speaking skills
are emphasized and presented as a
continuation of 101 and 102. In addition
students will be introduced to Italian art
history wilth a context related to the
history of Italy and Italian culture.

presented. Listening, comprehension as
well as basic writing and speaking skills

students will be introduced to Italian art

history of Italy and Italian culture.
Honors students will be required to work
on an independent research project that in
its nature will enable students to reflect
and notice the relation of their
assignments to the discipline of the major
or other disciplines.
