CMPE 691S Special Topics in Computer Engineering SoC 3 credits
Design and Test
Grade Method: REG/P-F This course will
examine in depth the theory and practice
of digital system design and test
challenges. Test time, power consumption,
test cost, embedded test, and crosstalk
are among these challenges to be covered.
Testing tools and systematic
design-for-test (DFT) methodologies are
necessary to handle design complexity,
ensure reliable operation, and achieve
short time-to-market. Students will get a
chance to use commercial DFT tools such as
TetraMax and DFT Compiler and power
analysis and management tools such as
PrimePower and PowerMill all from
Synopsys.
