          during  the  Third Reich. We  will study a
          variety  of texts to gain an understanding
          how   the   ruling   party   succeeded  in
          manipulating  public  opinion  to  such an
          extent   that   large   segments   of  the
          population  either  supported or  at least
          tolerated   the   regime.   We  will  also
          inevstigate  how  Germany is  dealing with
          the legacy of the movement.
