Psychopharmacology

focus on how drugs affect nervous system
function and behavior. Topics will start
with a review of basic neurophysiology,
synaptic transmission and pharmacology.
The course will then consider how nervous
system function is affected by drugs of
abuse and therapeutic compounds which are
used to treat a range of psychological
disorders, including schizophrenia,
affective and anxiety disorders.
