          will  focus  on the  intellectual world of
          Athens  in  the fifth  century BCE. Topics
          will    include   political   theory   and
          democracy  in  action,  the art  of public
          speaking,  the  founding of  history as an
          intellectual   discipline,   philosophical
          thought,  medicine  and  science,  war and
          military  developments, drama and art, and
          the   legacy  of  classical  Athens.  Note

          IN   PREPARATION   FOR   THE   EXHIBIT  OF

          PROJECT  TO  BE  DISPLAYED AT  UMBC IN THE
          SPRING  OF 2007. PROJECTS WILL INCLUDE THE
          STUDY  OF CLASSICAL ART IN ANCIENT ATHENS,
          RESEARCH  IN THE FIELDS OF RESTORATION AND
          CONSERVATION,  AND THE  CREATION OF MUSEUM
          EXHIBITS.
