are nevertheless unprepared for SPAN 201
either as the result of an interruption of
5 years in their study of the language or
as a result of a weak language background.

or 103 may be used toward UMBC's
language/culture requirement. Students

Cortazar se encuentra una figura que se
desenvuelve entre la vanguardia estetica y
la vanguardia politica, entre la
revolucion en la literatura en la
revolucion. Durante este semestre vamos a
analizar una novela, Rayuela, y varios
cuentos. Tambien analizamos la pelicula
Blow-up de Michelango Antonioni, basada en
el cuento "Las babas del diablo" e
indagamos la importancia del jazz en la
