will offer students an opportunity to
engage in the examination of a range of
public policy issues through research and
study of both historical and contemporary
public presentations. The course will
also provide students guidance in
preparing and presenting their own
speeches including practice in impromptu,
extemporaneous, informative, persuasive
speaking and debate. Improving listening
competency and techniques for reducing
anxiety will also be included in the
