interdisciplinary science course dealing
with some of our species' most common,
potent and ancient behaviors. Laughter and
humor will be examined from evolutionary,
historical, philosophical, psychological,
literary, musical, acoustic, and
neurological perspectives, to understand
their place in human nature and everyday
life. Class participation and
self-examination are emphasized and novel
descriptive techniques are used to
discover order and meaning in our laughter
and social relationships.
