          recommended for Applied Sociology students
          who  are  writing  an analytical  paper as
          part of their degree requirements.  Topics
          include  the  formulation  of  a  research
          question,    selection   of   methods   of
          research,   literature  review,  and  data
          analysis,  structure and organization of a
          research  paper, and the content and style
          of  the  paper.  Each  student  will  have
          regular   individual   meetings  with  the
          instructor   and  prepare  drafts  of  the
