          will  focus  on  the social  psychology of
          Stanley  Milgram, generally  considered to
          be   one   of   the   most  important  and
          controversial  psychologists  of  the 20th
          century.  That reputation is based largely
          on  his  classic  studies on  obedience to
          authority, but his research spanned a wide
          array  of  the  other topics,  such as the
          small-world  problem and urban psychology.
          This    seminar,   taught   by   Milgram's
          biographer,  will explore the broad domain
          of  his  research and  their relevance for
          our times.
