STAT 121 Introduction to Statistics for the Social 4 credits
Sciences

GEP/GFR:Meets M. Not open to students who
have passed a higher level of statistics
course with a grade of "C" or better.
Prereq: A suitable score on the LRC
Alegbra placement exam.Sections
201,202,203,204: This is a HYBRID course
and consists of both online lectures and
in class discussions. The instructor will
make lectures and related study materials
available online to students on a weekly
basis. Students are responsible for
keeping up with the pace of material as
set by the instructor. Students will also
be required to attend one 50-minute
discussion weekly. This will be a face to
face interaction with either the
instructor or a teaching assistant.
During this time students will review
material covered in the online lectures,
participate in guided activities and take
quizzes. All exams for the course will be
administered in a traditional classroom
setting. There will be a common final exam
for all sections of STAT 121 both hybrid
and traditional. An INITIAL COURSE MEETING
with the instructor for all enrolled
students will be held on Friday, February
1, 2008 from 12pm - 12:50pm in Lecture
Hall 4.
