| Overview of the system development life cycle. Emphasis on current system documentation through the use of both classical and structured tools/techniques for describing process flows, data flows, data structures, file designs, input and output designs and program specifications. IFSM 498 Special Topics in Information Systems 3 credits
Implementing Enterprise Network Systems
and Services
| This course takes a detailed look into the design, development, acquisition and implementation of enterprise network systems and communication services. Students investigate, analyze, evaluate, and select various network and telecommunications technologies to develop comprehensive communication system solutions. Working in project teams, students participate in all phases of the network design and implementation process, including communications needs analysis, requirements definition, design specification, requests for proposal, evaluating design alternatives, and developing acquisition and implementation plans for the chosen solution.
