PSYC 393 Special Topics in Psychology Neuroanatomy 3 credits
Neuroanatomy is a self-paced course based on the self-contained "programmed" text by Sidman and Sidman. Using many simple diagrams and statements, the text progresses step-by-step through the complexities of neuroanatomy. It is difficult to progress without achieving a high level of mastery. The clinically-oriented text is the best way to learn the basics of brain and spinal cord anatomy and how to diagnose common forms of neuropathology. The class meets only twice -- first, for an organizational meeting on Thursday, January 2nd and second, on Thursday, January 23rd for the exam, which is directly based on material from the text. Students needing additional time to complete the text are encouraged to begin reading before the first class meeting. For more information contact provine@umbc.edu.
