BIOL 103F Biological Topics in Modern Society (MS)                3 credits
          Animal Communication                              
This course will introduce non-majors to the ways in which animals communicate. The course will begin with an introduction to the scientific method and concepts of evolution. Topics will include the different forms of animal signals, how they convey information, and their evolution. Particular emphasis will be placed on elaborate signals especially those involved in mate choice. For more information contact chofma1@umbc.edu.
