Did you know that the Mayor of Ocean City, Md., is an alumnus? The Honorable James Mathias '74 will host this day of activities in the sun. Spend the day on the beach, and later in the afternoon we'll gather at 4 p.m. at Seacrets, a favorite hangout in Ocean City. Bowie Baysox Alumni Day
Sunday, August 19, Pre-game party 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Game 1:05 p.m. Gather your family and friends for a fun afternoon of food, festivities and Bowie Baysox baseball. Join us for the pre-game party with hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken (veggie option available), potato salad and watermelon at the picnic pavilion before the game. Then, watch the Bowie Baysox beat the Akron Aeros! *Cost: Adults $25, which includes a $3 gift to the Alumni Association Scholarship Fund. Alumni Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall

Mark your calendars now! This time, our alumni bus trip to New York City is going to see The Rockettes. The bus will depart from UMBC and drop us off in Times Square where we will have time to see the show, shop and admire the beautiful holiday scenes in Times Square and Rockefeller Center. Seats are located in the first and second mezzanine. Reserve your tickets--this trip is almost sold out! Cost: second mezzanine $105. Freshman Legacy Scholarship
Is your child coming to UMBC? The Alumni Association is offering two scholarships of $1000 each for the 2001-02 academic year. Entering freshman who are children of UMBC alumni are eligible to apply.
