Dear Parents and Families,
Welcome to the UMBC community and to our Parents’ Connection Web site. The mission for Parent Programs and Services at UMBC is to enhance a positive connection between parents and the University. We will achieve this through the development of effective communication, family programming and the sustainable facilitation of the UMBC PAWS (Parents Actively Working for Students) group so that students' academic success and their university and life experiences may be fully actualized.
As a UMBC parent or guardian, you are automatically a member of PAWS. Membership allows you complete access to all parent programs and services, rights to attend all PAWS meetings as well as receive the Parents' Connection newsletter via e-mail free of charge. To sign-up for the electronic newsletter, request more information or receive updates related to PAWS, please e-mail us at parents@umbc.edu.
On behalf of our Parents Program office and staff, we look forward to working with you to optimize effective communication in order to maximize your student's success here at UMBC.
Yours Truly,
Charles J. Fey, Ed.D.
Vice President of Student Affairs
