UMBC's success in forging leaders in a wide array of fields will be celebrated February 9 at the Alumni Awards ceremony in Annapolis. Six graduates will receive the Alumni Association's highest honor.

It is tax season again and 1098Ts for 2004 have been mailed to all eligible
students. This year, students can go on line to view and print their
1098Ts as well. Please refer to this link

***Please note that the Bursar's Office must have an Authorization to Release
Information form, signed by the student, before we can release any billing

Summer and PT Job/Internship Fair (2/17)
At UMBC's Summer and Part-Time Job/Internship Fair, students can meet with employers who are hiring for summer, part-time, internship and temporary positions. The fair is open to all members of the UMBC community. Participants should bring several copies of their resumes and dress professionally. Phoenix Dance Company Concert (2/11-12)
The Department of Dance presents the Phoenix Dance Company, the professional dance company in residence at UMBC. Known for its exploration of dance and technology, the Phoenix Dance Company features choreography by Carol Hess and Doug Hamby, and performances by Sandra Lacy and other artists. 8 p.m. each evening in the UMBC Theatre. $15 general admission, $7 students and seniors. Social Justice Film Series: A Class Divided (2/14-15)
One day in 1968, Jane Elliott, a teacher in a small, all-white Iowa town, divided her third grade class into blue-eyed and brown-eyed groups and gave them a daring lesson in discrimination. /A Class Divided/ is the story of what she taught the children, and the impact the lesson had on their lives 30 years later. A discussion period will follow the screening. 2 p.m. on Feb. 14 in ACIV-A, Room 208. 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 15 in The Commons Graduate Student Lounge. Sponsored by the Department of Education and the Graduate Student Association.
"Suburban Journals" Exhibition (Through 3/26)
The Albin O. Kuhn Library Gallery presents "Suburban Journals: The Sketchbooks, Drawings and Prints of Charles Ritchie." The exhibition spans 20 years and traces the Maryland artist's creations from journal conceptions as watercolor and pen and ink, through independent sheets in various drawing media. "Ruffin Cooper: The Golden Gate Bridge Series" Exhibition (Through 3/26)
The Albin O. Kuhn Library presents "Ruffin Cooper: The Golden Gate Bridge Series." Cooper (1942-1992) was a conceptual artist and photographer who came of age in the 1960s. He went to Woodstock in 1969, lived for a time at a New Mexico commune, and later established himself as an artist in San Francisco, crossing paths at different times with such cultural icons as Dennis Hopper, Allen Ginsberg and Andy Warhol.
