The Summer Biomedical Training
Program
provides biomedical research experiences for undergraduates, particularly
those underrepresented in the field, who are interested in receiving
a Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. in biomedicine. Students from across the
country complete a ten-week research experience with energetic faculty
in state-of-the-art facilities at UMBC while living on campus. The Summer Biomedical Training Program (SBTP) is funded by The Leadership Alliance and UMBC. Over the past few years many of the program participants have also been able to receive funding through the FASEB MARC Program.
We
currently support students interested in doing research in the following
cross-disciplinary areas:
