Meyerhoff Students

The Summer Biomedical Training Program provides biomedical research experiences for undergraduates, particularly those underrepresented in the field, who are interested in receiving a Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. in biomedicine. Students from across the country complete a ten-week research experience with energetic faculty in state-of-the-art facilities at UMBC while living on campus. The Summer Biomedical Training Program (SBTP) is funded by The Leadership Alliance and UMBC. Over the past few years many of the program participants have also been able to receive funding through the FASEB MARC Program.

We currently support students interested in doing research in the following cross-disciplinary areas:

Biochemistry
Biological Sciences
Chemistry
Chemistry/Biology Interface
Engineering
  Chemical
Electrical
Mechanical
Molecular and Cell Biology
Psychology
