TEMPLATES AND
UMBC GRAPHICS LAB REQUEST FOR SERVICES FORM

The following items are available to help 2008 SURF participants:

1. Abstract Template - Available in two formats: M.S.Word and PDF format

2. One-sheet poster Template - sized for printing 36-inch wide by 44-inch long posters, which can be downloaded here as a ppt file.

3. Banner Template - sized for printing 36-inch wide title banners to be used with multiple-panel posters

4. "Preparing An Effective Scientific Poster" (Comprehensive slide presentation given by Mrs. Sutphin at the SPCB Seminar on July 11, 2008.)

5. UMBC Graphics Lab Information:

Request for Printing Graphics Lab Funding form from Mr. Tim Ford of the UMBC Graphics Lab - Available in two formats: M.S.Word and pdf format .

Mr. Ford asks that anyone who requests printing through the UMBC Graphics Lab follow the poster guidelines he has established to prevent a variety of problems. These guidelines, which address background color, margins, and more topics are available in M.S.Word and jpg format.

There is a cost for one sheet poster printing; therefore a PS ChartString or other authorization is needed before a request can be processed. Please adhere to the following deadlines for the 2008 Summer Undergraduate Research Fest:
