See their Website - Deadline 15 Feb 2010 Harvard University Summer Program in Quantitative Science - The Summer Program is an intensive 4-week program, during which highly qualified undergraduates receive a whirlwind introduction to the fields of biostatistics and epidemiology and to the use of quantitative methods for biological, environmental, public health, and medical research. The program also provides advice about graduate school and the application process through GRE preparation, meetings with different departments of the Harvard School of Public Health, and individualized mentoring by Harvard faculty. Application Information Caltech's Amgen Scholars Program is geared towards students in biology, chemistry, and biotechnology fields. Some of these fields include biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, chemical and biomolecular engineering, and chemistry. Eligibility: Students must be current sophomores through non-graduating seniors, must be attending a four-year university, and must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents. A minimum GPA of 3.2 is required. Support: Amgen Scholars will receive a $5500 award, round-trip air transportation, a generous housing allowance, and a food allowance. The Summer Internship Program in Biomedical Research and its sister program, the Summer Research Fellowship Program, offer students the unique opportunity to join one of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases’ (NIAID’s) research laboratories for a minimum of 8 weeks beginning in May through September.
