Gee, anybody else see this coming?

COMPLETING THE TRIFECTA

May 23, 2002 - Gee, anybody else see this coming? The club baseball team won the wiffleball championship in the fall and came outdoor to sweep the mens and coed brackets in spring league softball. Loyola has got to be scared now. ;) So what do you write about a championship blowout? The Defenders being in the finals against them wasn't really a surprise, though the Lime Kool-Aid Men gave them quite a scare in the longest intramural softball game ever. Maybe if more than 9 of the Defenders could have showed up for the championship game, they would have had a better shot. It didn't help when one of them left early, creating a hole in their lineup either. George struck out the guy who was up just before the hole for the second out of the inning and walked off with an effective double strikeout double play. I guess. How do you score that? I'd also like to take out the time to wish the Isotopes goodbye. Emily has been a consistant coed team manager for 4 years now, and at least two of those years, including this one, wouldn't have happened without her. So I hope these baseball guys can go the distance. Maybe Geoff and I will come out of retirement next year and give you guys a run. Anyway, congratulations to No DH for their championship victories. Maybe it's better that Beaubien was hurt.  :)
