 May 14, 2003 - For the second
year in a row, the Dawgs (also known as the club baseball team)
swept the championship games. And the games were won by 11 and 14
runs. Other than their 9-7 coed victory over PKP and their 7-3 mens
win over the Grape Kool Aid Men, these were their only two games of
the year not won by forfeit or the 15-run mercy rule. And most of
them will be here next year. This could be our first true softball
dynasty maybe ever. Somebody's got to put a team together to beat
these guys. Adam's Kool Aid Men are a few people away from being
that team, and I think if Albert, Rob, Dennis and the huge Asian
contingency can get another team together next year, they'd have a
shot. Or maybe some new team will pop up next year and give them a
run. But it's gonna take a lot of talent and luck to dethrone them.
Nice job, Dawgs.
As a side note to this picture, Mike Airing wasn't there when I
took the original picture (which is waiting to be developed on our
disposable camera), so he took his own with his digital camera. Only
for some reason, he wasn't in this one either. Go figure. (To find
out what happened to Mike, click here.)
