Undergraduates and the Honors Experience
UMBC students quickly find that learning at an honors university
takes place in many ways and in a variety of settings. They have
a sense of personal mission, striving to make the most of their
education. UMBC students play important roles as leaders and influencers
both on and off campus.
Graduate Students and Research
UMBC provides an exciting environment for graduate students to meet
the challenges of advanced study. Graduate students work alongside

Alumni: Powerful Outcomes
UMBC’s 40,000 alumni are advancing their fields—from
engineering and IT to public and social service and education. Approximately
80 percent of the University’s alumni live and work in Maryland.
