1098T INFORMATION
Dear Students,
1098Ts are in the mail for all eligible UMBC students. This year,
UMBC students have web access to their 1098T. From the website
you will be able to print copies of your 1098T, make address changes
and link to IRS publications.
The following is a list of important things to know prior to logging-in:
- UMBC school code is 00210500
- Your Name ID (first two characters of your last name)
- Your PIN (printed on the bottom of your 1098T, mailed to you)
- If you have not received your 1098T or if you have forgotten
your PIN, please call

PLEASE READ THE FAQ
BELOW:
What charges are considered "Qualified tuition and related
expenses", reported in Box # 2 of my 1098T?
- All tuition and mandatory fees (including orientation fee)
billed in 2004. Billed not Paid.
- If you were billed in December of 2004 (due to pre-registration)
for Spring 2005, your Spring 2005 charges will be included in
the total shown on Box #2.
What makes up "Scholarships and Grants" reported
in Box # 4 of my 1098T?
- All Scholarships posted to your account in 2004, including
Pell, Seog and tuition waivers.
Why didn't I receive a 1098T?
You are not eligible to receive one if:
- You are an International student.
- The amount posted to your account in scholarships in 2004 was
greater than the amount billed for tuition and mandatory fees
in 2004.
