Advising Transfer Students
Academic Advising is primarily provided by professional and faculty advisors in the academic departments. The Office for Academic and Pre-Professional Advising advises all students who are exploratory/undecided. New transfer students meet with an academic advisor during the new student orientation program, held prior to the start classes to discuss academic and career plans, review prior coursework, and select and register for courses for the upcoming semester. Prior to registering for subsequent semesters, students are required to meet with an academic advisor review academic plans and monitor progress towards degree completion. Outside of these key touchpoints, students are encouraged to meet with their academic advisor on an ongoing basis.
