Renewals
Materials borrowed from the Resource Center may be renewed once in-person or online. See instructions for renewing items online.
Any items that you are unable to renew must be returned by the due date or fines will accrue. We do not renew items by telephone.
Recalls
When a person borrows a book, he/she is guaranteed to have that item for at least two weeks. After that time, every book is subject to being "recalled" and given an earlier due date. This only occurs when another person has placed a request for that same book and no other available copy can be found for the person through any other USMAI campus library. This system was set up to allow the quickest possible access for all users to materials owned by the USMAI libraries.
FInes & Fees
Fine and Lost Item Information
- Book Fines: 50 cents per day per item to a maximum of $50.00 per item
- Media Fines: $2 a day with a maximum of $50.00 per item.
- Overdue Recalled Item Fines: $4.00 per day, per item; continues to $50.00 maximum per item
- Lost Books: $100.00 replacement fee, $35.00 processing fee
- Lost CDs: $100.00 replacement fee, $35.00 processing fee
- Lost DVDs: $150.00 replacement fee, $35.00 processing fee
If a lost item is returned you will only need to pay late fines.

Fines and fees can be paid only by check. Payments may be made in-person at the Resource Center or mailed to:
