Services Offered: Classes for adults and young adults in GED Preparation, Basic Reading, and ESL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). External Diploma Program for those interested in developing a portfolio to earn a High School Diploma. Family Literacy classes in ESL and GED preparation. Placement is determined by intake assessments.
Hours of Operation:
• Pre-GED and GED preparation and Basic Reading: morning and evening classes
• Intensive GED preparation (12-20 hours per week): afternoon classes.
• ESL: morning, evening and Saturday classes
• External Diploma Program: afternoon and evening hours by appointment

GED and Advanced ESL classes: $75
EDP: $170 for County residents; $200 for non-residents

Services Offered: Literacy services for adults, 17 years and above, who are not enrolled in school. One to one tutoring, small group classes, and computer assisted instruction are available for adults in ABE, Pre-GED, Pre-EDP, GED, and ESOL. External Diploma Program (EDP) also offered as a path to attain a Maryland High School Diploma. Workshops provided to train volunteers to tutor adults. Volunteer tutor and paid teacher applications welcome.
