UMBC College of Arts and Sciences
The aim of Research Services is to assist investigators, in the College of Arts and Sciences, with a variety of pre- and post-award activities, including:
  • fiscal management of grant and contract awards
  • preparation of internal university administrative forms and reports
  • assisting researchers in the finding funding sources
  • providing direction to researchers in development of grants proposals and budgets
  • coordinating the submission of proposals within the campus routing system
  • assisting investigators in the preparation of human subjects use (IRB) applications
In addition, we serve as the liaison to the staff of the UMBC Office of Sponsored Programs Administration and grant accounting staff of UMBC Financial Services.
