UMBC Summer Day Camp

Camp Description
UMBC Summer Day Camp has a number of unique features that make it an outstanding experience for those boys and girls attending. We offer a structured schedule of activities in which every child will be able to participate. Some of these activities include sports of the week, self defense, tennis, arts and crafts, swimming, field trips and recreational games. The children will also take part in traditional activities appropriate for their respective age levels. However, emphasis will be placed in participation rather than winning.

Other Fees

Late Payment and late Cancellation-Due to the increased number of campers on the waiting list, we require that payment be received one month prior to the first day of each session. Payment not received in time will reslut in a $50 Late Fee. Any cancellations withiin one week of the start of that session will incur a $50 Late Cancellation fee. There will be no refunds for cancelled sessions once that session has begun.

Late Pickup Fee - There is a five minute grace period when it comes to picking up a camper. After those five minutes there will then be a $1 fee assessed for every minute until the camper(s) is picked up.

Refund Request - For a refund to be processed a letter must be sent to the UMBC Summer Day which includes name, reason for refund, date(s) of session(s), address, and social security number. The State of Maryland WILL NOT issue a refund without the listed criteria. Reasons for refunds are as follows: overpayment and cancellation of a session already paid for prior to the week before the session begins. A refund/credit will not be given once it is less then a week before the beginning of the session in question.
