Aurora Analytics, LLC (“Aurora”) is a technology-based company that develops and manufactures innovative consumer and research diagnostic products. The company’s expertise in specialty chemical synthesis has produced its unique products, including the G-Mark, Freshdicator and LumiPro product lines.

Aurora also offers its modern, well-equipped research and development laboratory for contract chemical synthesis and support services.

History
Aurora was founded in 2004 by Aristotle Kalivretenos, Ph.D., William LaCourse, Ph.D. and Columbia Technologies, LLC in collaboration with the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).

The company’s amine detection technology, invented by Dr. Kalivretenos, is wholly owned by UMBC (U.S. and International patents pending) and exclusively licensed to Aurora. The company’s Founders have demonstrated the utility of the amine detection technology for the detection of biogenic amines in fresh and spoiled blue fish. Two US Patents covering the technology are pending.
