2003 - 2006 Beckman
Research Mentor Pool...

to 2006, The
Beckman Scholars Program at UMBC benefitted from a pool of experienced
research mentors who agreed to encourage, advise and supervise Beckman
Scholars in their laboratories.
Students applying to the Beckman Scholars
Program were asked to visit the web sites of these
prospective mentors to review their research interests and identify at
least two faculty with whom
they would like to work.

The Beckman Research Mentor Pool was expanded to 15 UMBC Faculty Members in the proposal to continue the Beckman Scholars Program at UMBC beginning in 2008. The list of mentors will be posted if the proposal is funded.
