New Minor Requirements Worksheet [PDF]

The new BIOL minor was signficantly changed from the previous version.
Some of these changes were necessitated by the phasing out of the three courses: BIOL 100, BIOL 100L and BIOL 301. The BIOL 100 and BIOL 301 courses were replaced by BIOL 141/BIOL 142 Foundations of Biology, which were designed to replace them. The requirement for BIOL 100L will be dropped.

Two other courses are required in the minor: BIOL 302 Molecular & General Genetics and BIOL 303 Cell Biology. The combination of BIOL 141/142 and BIOL 302/303 constitute four of the five core courses shared in all the BIOL majors. The fifth core course, BIOL 300L Experimental Biology Laboratory is not required in the post 2010nbBIOL minor but it may be used to satisfy the BIOL 3XX or 4XX elective requirement. All other BIOL 3XX or 4XX courses may be used to satisfy this requirement except for the courses BIOL 422L, 495, 497H, 499, or 499H.
