Visiting UMBC

UMBC is conveniently located 15 minutes from downtown Baltimore, 30 minutes from Washington, D.C., and 10 minutes from BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport and Amtrak. Just off Interstate 95, visiting UMBC is easy. The Biological Sciences administrative offices are located on the 4th floor of the Biological Sciences building (Building 5 on the campus map). We recommend that you park in Lot #10 on Administrative Drive.

The Baltimore-Washington corridor has a large concentration of life sciences research institutions and industry. Please refer to the map below to see just how conveniently UMBC is located to such institutions as the University of Maryland Medical Center, National Institutes of Health and the Naval Research Lab.
