Sandy Peterson is the Chief Financial Officer for Samuel Shapiro & Company, Inc. a 97 year-old Customs Broker/Freight Forwarder in Baltimore, MD.
 
For over 20 years, Sandy has worked in the fields of Finance and Accounting in various industries including public accounting, for-profit industry, non-profit, and governmental, including contract work for the U.S. Department of State in Washington DC.

She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and worked with them to develop questions for their online version of the CPA exam. She has taught Graduate-level Finance for Non-Finance Professionals courses and has run one-day Non-Profit Accounting seminars for undergraduate accounting students.

Ms. Peterson teaches BTEC 680: Financial Management for Science Professionals.
