The incumbent will report to the Assistant Provost for Financial Management. Specific duties will include: managing Federal and foundation-sponsored grants for departments that report directly to the Provost; assisting departments with preparing proposal budgets, reconciling and administering existing grants, and working with directors and PIs regarding compliance matters and subcontracts; analyzing departmental budgets and expenses; acting as a liaison between departments, Financial Services, Office of Sponsored Programs, and Contract and Grant Accounting; and performing other accounting, reporting, and business service duties as needed at the direction of the Assistant Provost.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and at least five years experience in general accounting and/or auditing, with at least three of the years working with grants and contracts. The successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of Federal grant regulations. Must have excellent verbal and written skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. CPA or MBA preferred.
