The incumbent will work on a study of medical care in assisted living. The NIA-funded study will explore how physicians interact with the services and structure of the assisted living environment. Specific duties include: scheduling and performing telephone interviews; data entry; data analysis in SPSS; assisting the project coordinator in project management; performing quality control of interview data; and performing other duties as assigned. Opportunity will exist to co-author publications and present findings at professional conferences. The research assistant will report to the study’s Principal Investigator, Dr. John G. Schumacher.

Note: This position is a grant-funded position, wherein employment is contingent upon the renewal of the grant and carries no layoff or reinstatement rights. Flexible work schedule available, including the possibility for half-to full-time employment.

Qualifications: Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor’s degree and experience with health services research. Must have: proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access; knowledge of SPSS; strong organizational skills; and interviewing experience.
