Camp Instructor or Counsleor

The Columbia Art Center is recruiting for our summer art camp. The camp runs from June 22- August 14th. MUST BE AVAILABLE ALL 8 WEEKS including mandatory CA camp training June 8th -11th from 5:30-8:30 and June 18th,19th and 20th all day.
Instructors teach children art methods, techniques and principles through a variety of creative projects. This is a great position for art students, new art teachers or teachers. Visual and performing arts instructors encouraged to apply. Counselors are responsible for their specific group and help instructors aide the children in completing their projects, They also lead the campers in free time activities.
Counselors and instructors must be able to stand for up to 6 hours, work outside in summer temperatures(camp is mostly indoors), and attend mandatory camp training. Counselors must be at least 18 years old or a high school graduate. All employees are subject to federal and state background checks.
Compensation for counselors starts at $7.40 per hour. Instructor positions start at $8.50 per hour.
