Systems Analsyt - Prometric (FT)

Prometric is currently seeking an entry-level Systems Analyst for our Global Command Center. This is a weekend evening shift so please read the shift requirements below.

Responsible for Global Command Center monitoring and operation of production systems. This includes but not limited to receiving problem calls, documenting those calls, triage the problem (prioritize), fixing and/or escalating those calls to the appropriate party for resolution or workaround. Other duties include processing manual operations, maintaining and offering monitoring suggestions for HP OpenView, an enterprise monitoring system, application support, creating and maintaining processes and procedures and working in a team environment to meet the goals of the Global Command Center.

Main Responsibilities:

Answer escalation phone calls from global helpdesk or internal staff
Monitor production systems using HP OpenView and other applications and respond accordingly
Respond to production support issues documented in Magic (incident tracking system)
Perform manual tasks in support of Data Center Operations
Work with Global Command Center Analysis and Resolution team in creating permanent resolutions/fixes
Continuously strives to improve customer support, identifying opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness
Create and/or maintain operations process/procedure and problem resolution documentation as required
Follow all operation’s processes and procedures
Identify areas that can be improved through a new or revised process or procedure to the Lead of the Enterprise Monitoring Global Command Center team.
Assist other Operations Engineers and Team Lead, as needed
Other duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications:
2 years experience in the Information Systems field preferred
Good overall analytical and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Operating System to include server support
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written skills
Business knowledge (business workings, organization, contact/escalation knowledge)
Ability to make timely decisions
Detail oriented
Process oriented
Microsoft certifications preferred
College degree preferred
Technical knowledge of:

Data communications
HP OpenView (a plus)
SQL (a plus)
