The UMBC Dance Department presents the Senior Dance Concert on Friday and Saturday, November 18 and 19 at 8pm in the Fine Arts Building Dance Space, Room 317.

The concert features works by seven up and coming choreographers - Samantha Baccaglini, Nicole Borguno, Ravae Duhaney, Brie Helmlinger, Paige Khoury, Desiree Koontz-Nachtrieb, and Kevin Truitt. These works delve into into diverse choreographic processes and investigate a variety of concepts from abstract themes to interior human issues. The movement exploration is rich and high-powered blending many styles of modern, ballet, jazz and contemporary.

Tickets are available in advance or at the door for $12 (general) and $7 (student/senior) and can be purchased in the Dance Department Office located in Fine Arts 467C. Children under 6 will not be admitted. Ticket reservations can be made here. Reservations must be picked up no later than 7:30pm.

Congratulations to Dance Alumni Michelle Brandenburg ('11) and Holly Googe ('09) who will soon set sail to dance aboard some BIG cruise ships! Michelle will be dancing for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and Holly will be joining Carnival Cruise Lines, traveling to the Bahamas and Key West. We wish them well (dancers don't say "break a leg") and we're happy to have our UMBC dancers out there doing us proud over the deep blue sea.
