Recognition for Dr. Beverly Bickel

December 22, 2008. Dr. Beverly Bickel is recognized by the English Language Center as an exceptional leader and mentor. As Dr. Bickel leaves her position as Director of the English Language Center, members of the staff and faculty presented her with a plaque that recognizes her excellent leadership skills. Dr. Bickel was the director of the ELC during the last 10 years, and as of January 1, 2009, she will be the Associate Director of the Literature, Language and Culture PhD program at UMBC.
