Maryland TESOL Graduate Student IS Mini - Conference
On February 28th, 2009, Maryland TESOL Graduate Student IS held their second annual Graduate Mini-Conference at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). This year’s mini conference doubled in size from the previous event with 54 participants and 11 presentations offered from 9-12:00. Representing 4 different universities (College Park, American University, Old Dominion and UMBC) as well as Washington D.C. public schools, presenters shared their research on such topics as teaching methods, action research, acculturation, and teacher-preparedness. It was an exciting event with excellent opportunities for networking, research collaboration and collegial support!
