September 24, 2009 - A delegation of international teachers of English as a foreign language visits the ELC

A group of 16 English teachers from 11 different countries visited the
English Language Center to know about its programs for English learners and
about professional development programs for English teachers. The visitors
are invited to the United States under the auspices of the Department of
State's International Visitor Leadership Program. The delegation met with
ELC directors, Dr. Fernando Fleurquin, Sarah Gardenghi, Heather Linville and
Dr. Joan K. Shin to know about the academic and student services as well as
the face-to-face and online programs for Teachers of English as a Foreign
Language offered by the ELC. The participants came from Egypt, Iraq, Libya,
Morocco, Pakistan, China, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, Turkmenistan and
Uzbekistan.
