Welcome to the alumni page. This page shows what Linehan students have accomplished since graduating from UMBC. And the page is also for Linehan alumni, to read about their old friends, and to reconnect with them. If you are a Linehan alumni and not listed, it is because we don't have any information about you. So please contact Dr.Kreizenbeck (kreizenb@umbc.edu) with news of where you are and what you are doing, and please contact him if there is a mistake in your listing or if you have moved on from what is posted. If you would like to contact other alums, that can be facilitated at the same email address. The following graduates are the ones we know about--it would be great to hear from more of you.
RENEE BROZIC BARGER (Dance, '99) was recently appointed Coordinator of Dance at Howard County Community College. She had previously been selected as Adjunct of the Year at HCCC.
KYLE RILEY (Theatre, '99) after managing his family's business for several years, Kyle will be attending acting school in London next fall.
CAMERON SLAYDEN (Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Visual Arts) is a nationally known medical and scientific illustrator.
KAREN MURPHY (Music and Theatre, '01) is a costumer with the Baltimore City Opera.
ALEXANDER FERGUSON (Music and Mathematics, 01) is a business analyst for the Los Angeles Unified School District.
GARRETT WRIGHT (Theatre, '01) graduated from the University of California School of Law at Berkley and is currently working for housing rights in New York City.
KRISTA BROCENOS (Visual Arts, '02) is a senior graphics designer for Discovery Communication, Inc.
JISOO LEE (Visual Arts, '02) is an interpreter and patient services coordinator for the Johns Hopkins Health System.
BRIANNA RATTERMAN (Theatre, 02) is currently performing with the art rock group
Sophe Lux, based in Portland, Oregon.
ERIN BARATA (Visual Arts, '03) is a print design specialist at UMBC.
JENNIFER EVANS (Theatre, '03) graduated with an MFA degree in acting from the University of California at Irvine. Presently living in New York, she can be seen on several national commercials.
ZACHARIAH HANDLER (Visual Arts, '03) received a Masters in Arts degree in Arts Administration from Columbia University. He is presently Manager of Deaf Services for the Baltimore Medical System at the Highland Town Community Health Center.
MARYANNE HAYDEN (Visual Arts, '03) graduated with an MFA degree in animation from California School for the Arts.
ALLISON HOUSEWORTH (Theatre, '03) after living in California and a stint in development with an acting troupe in New York, is currently enrolled in the Masters program in Arts Management at Columbia University. Last year she produced a festival of new plays in Brooklyn.
DON JENKINS (Theatre, '03) graduated from the MFA program in acting at Roosevelt University in Chicago.
CHRIS MILLER and JAY PERRY (Visaul Arts, 03) are founding partners of Vastin Media.
DING REN (Visual Arts, '05) received a fellowship to pursue a graduate degree in photography at George Washington University. She had previously been a program manager for the Washington Project for the Arts at the Corcoran Museum.
MATT MCGLOIN (Theatre, '06) is a professional actor in Washington, D.C. He recently completed a national tour and is performing this summer with the Virginia Shakespeare Festival.
MCKENZIE BOWLING (Theatre, '06) has been accepted into the MFA program in acting at DePaul University in Chicago.
RACHELE SILLS (Music, '07) is enrolled in the graduate studies program in violin at the Boston Conservatory of Music.

This page is for Linehan student news. This first entry lists last semeter's accomplishments and what some Linehan students will be doing over the summer months. If you are a Linehan student and would like to be included, email Dr. Kreizenbeck (kreizenb@umbc.edu). If you are a prospective Linehan, this will provide you with an idea of the quality and variety of Linehan student accomplishments.
IVY FLORES (Visual Arts, '08) was an Imaging Research Center Fellow, where she helped create "The Choice," an animated video on voting advocacy and participated in an animation performance with the Brooklyn Philharmonic. She is currently working on a project to be presented at the 2008 SIGGRAPH conference in Los Angeles.
STEVE GILMORE (Music, '09) was elected President of the Student Government Association for the coming year.
HOLLY GOOGE (Dance, '09) spent the Spring semester studying in Paris and taking dance classes at Studio Harmonie. This summer she will be training at dance studios in New York City. Last summer she interned in marketing and public relations with the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre.
PATRICK LETTERII (Theatre, '09) will be acting at the 45th Street Playhouse in New York City, playing the lead character in "Lights and Music," a play he authored.
HANAH RZASA (Dance, '09) Received an Undergraduate Research Award to do a video-dance project in England on the works of Jane Austen and her relationship with her sister, Cassandra.
MARCUS THOMAS (Music, '09) is at Columbia University this summer for a physics research project and will take clarinet lessons as well.
HELEN ZHANG (Visual Arts,'09) was the staff cartoonist for the "Retriever," and has an internship at BreakAway games. She earned a 4.0 last Spring, continuing her string of perfect semesters.
MICHELLE CRISTION (Theatre, '10) is touring through several states this summer,interning as a performance instructor with Lamplight Artists, a Christian arts organization. She earned a 4.0 in the Spring semester.
MONIQUE CUCCHI (Visual Arts, '10) earned a 4.0 in the Spring semester.
ELENA DEBOLD (Visual Arts, '10) was awarded a fellowship with the Imaging Research Center.
JOSH KEMPER (Theatre, '10) has earned a 4.0 every semester for two years. He will be performing in "Bare: The Musical" at the Theatre Project this summer.
MICHELLE KO (Music, '10) earned a 4.0 in the Spring semester. This summer she will be studying with several renowned flutists on the West Coast.
MICHAL LEVITAS (Music, '10) received an Undergraduate Research Award to attend the American Institute of Musical Studies in Austria to study German art songs.
ERIKA MOSHER (Visual Arts, '10) is interning this summer in graphic design at AVGSport. She earned a spot on the Dean's List during the Spring semester.
SHELLY PURDY (Music, '10) earned a 4.0 in the Spring semester.
DANIEL ROBERTS (Music, '10) is President of Musicians for World Peace, an organization that presents concerts for good causes. Last semester, Daniel coordinated "Rock for Relief," which sent money to a relief organization in New Orleans. One "B" blemishes his stellar academic efforts.
TALYA SCHENK (Music, '10) will be studying and playing (the viola) at Eastman, in Boulder, and with the National Philharmonic Summer String Institute. She will also attend a workshop with Karen Tuttle, a renowned viola instructor.
BAILEY ALEXANDER (Theatre, '11) has an internship in the costume shop this summer at Theatre on the Hill at MacDaniel College.
JESSICA BAKER (Theatre, '11) is in Egypt for the summer, teaching acting and creating plays from literature with three to ten year olds. She made the Dean's List in the Spring semester.
MARLAYNA DEMOND (Visual Arts, '11) earned a 4.0 during the Spring semester.
SEAN MCCOMAS (Theatre, '11) earned a 4.0 in the Spring semester and will be appearing this summer in "Bare: The Musical" at the Theatre Project.
SARA ROSS (Theatre, '11) earned a 4.0 in the Spring semester. This summer she is doing backstage work for the Harrisburg Shakespeare Festival and teaching and performing with the Popcorn Hat Children's Theatre.
MARCUS SIMMONS (Music, '11) received an Undergraduate Research Award to study and intern this summer at the International Opera Theater in Italy.
GRIFFY TANENBAUM (Visual Arts, '11) made the Dean's list for the Spring semester and is studying Italian this summer at Johns Hopkins.
