Bowie State University is Hiring for Faculty Lecturer in Communications Department

POSITION TITLE: Lecturer
PERSONNEL STATUS: Long-Term Contractual/Faculty
DEPARTMENT: Communications
OPEN DATE: August 8, 2012

CLOSING DATE: Open Until Filled (Initial Screening Date: August 21, 2012)
Responsibilities: Provides instruction for eight (8) courses per academic year; exhibits the potential for excellence for teaching at the undergraduate level, assessment, advisement, curriculum development, committee service, research and professional involvement.
Qualifications: Master’s of Arts degree in speech communications or a closely related field. Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate level. Preferred specializations are Oral Communication, Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Gender Studies, and Intercultural Communications. Ability to teach and design curriculum for forensics courses is desired but not required.
