Linda Dusman (Professor/Composition) awarded fellowship and residency; new works premiered in Athens and Baltimore

Dr. Linda Dusman was awarded a Mid-Atlantic Arts Fellowship as Artist in Residence at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts for February 2009. She also completed two new works - "Diverging Flints," a piano trio premiered by the New Music Ensemble at Towson in October 2009, and "Skra," for clarinet and electronics, which was premiered by the Spiza Composers' Collective in Athens, Greece, and by E. Michael Richards at UMBC in October 2009. In addition, her "magnificat 4: Ida Ida" was released on Evergreen Records in the fall of 2009.
