Per OIT's 11/28/05 announcement, all users should no longer plan to use the Digital Drop Box (DDB), which Blackboard replaced with the assignment function in version 6.0 (UMBC is running version 6.3). The DDB was problematic for both students and faculty, and Blackboard doesn't offer or support it in version 7.0, which UMBC will migrate to in the 2006-07 academic year.
