New book on Baltimore's suburbs by Thomas J. Vicino
Thomas J. Vicino (Ph.D., 2006) has published a book, The Transformation of Class and Race in Metropolitan Baltimore: Suburban Crossroads (Palgrave Macmillan). The analysis of the deterioration of older “first tier” suburbs around Baltimore is based on his dissertation work at UMBC. View the website for the book. Currently at the University of Texas at Arlington, Tom will move to a tenure-track position at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts in the fall.
