Todd Eberly (Ph.D., 2006), commented in an April 23 Daily Record story, "Does Mike Miller still rule Annapolis?" Dr. Eberly noted that Maryland Senate President Miller has been able to stay politically relevant because he has demonstrated to his own caucus that he can "play ball."

A New York Times article quoted affiliated faculty member Seth Messinger (Sociology) on the process of recovering from the type of limb loss that occured at the Boston Marathon bombing, as well as during wars.

In an April 19 Daily Record story, "No O'Malley Administration brain drain, expert says," Donald F. Norris commented on the turnover of senior staff and department secretaries in the O'Malley Administration. "This is not at all unusual for the second half of the second term of a term-limited governor." Dr. Norris noted, “If the replacements are qualified, there’s no brain drain.”
