W.R. Grace located in Columbia, MD is looking for a Process Research and Engineering Group Intern Starting January 2007 for spring semester. The intern will identify and quantify opportunities to reduce materials and energy usage through process improvement. Specific duties may include: (a) Collecting and analyzing operating data from plant process control systems to identify current operating conditions and areas for improvement (b) Designing and conducting lab-scale experiments to evaluate potential process improvements, (c) Collecting and testing plant samples to aid in identification of improvement opportunities. This opportunity is open to juniors or seniors in Chemical Engineering. W.R. Grace is looking for someone to work a minimum 15 hours per week. This position is paid starting between $15-$18/hour.
